About Tyranny

Tyranny Game Info

Introduction
Tyranny is a role-playing game (RPG) developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Paradox Interactive.

Game Overview

Tyranny presents a unique take on the RPG genre. In a world where evil has already triumphed, you play as a Fatebinder in the service of Kyros the Overlord. Your choices shape the Northern Territories. The game features a deep story, tactical combat, and a world defined by your decisions.

Storyline and Setting

The game is set in Terratus, a world conquered by Kyros the Overlord. Unlike typical RPGs where you fight against evil, in Tyranny, you are part of the ruling force. As a Fatebinder, you travel the land, enforcing Kyros's laws and dealing with rebellions and power struggles. The storyline focuses on the consequences of Kyros's victory and the moral ambiguities of maintaining order in a world built on conquest.

Gameplay Features

Tyranny features isometric real-time-with-pause combat. You control a party of characters, each with unique skills and abilities. Key gameplay elements include:

Character Customization: Create and develop your character with a detailed skill system.
Reputation System: Your actions affect your reputation with various factions, influencing the story and unlocking new options.
Spell Creation: Combine different sigils to create custom spells.
Meaningful Choices: Your decisions have a significant impact on the world and the story's outcome.

Co-op or Multiplayer

Tyranny is a single-player RPG. It does not feature co-op or multiplayer modes.

Editions and DLCs

Tyranny is available in several editions:

Standard Edition: Includes the base game.
Commander Edition: Includes the base game, ringtones, coat of arms, short story collection, forum icon and wallpapers.
Archon Edition: Includes the Commander Edition content, digital soundtrack, digital high-resolution map, and an art book.

The game has several DLCs that expand the story and add new content:

Bastard's Wound: Adds a new area to explore and new characters to interact with.
